On December 2nd 2023, we made Salmon Onigiri for Agape Special Needs Program. We first cooked rice and baked fresh salmon. After that, we started with washing our hands and putting on gloves as health and safety is really important when handling food. We need to first prepare materials like salmon, rice, seaweed and sesame seed. We started by seasoning the rice. Then we scraped the salmon off the skin, mashed it up and added mayo for the filling of our onigiri. The rest of the time was spent making the onigiri. It was a relaxing process and we each had our roles, which made it more efficient and organized. We really enjoyed this experience as it was hands-on. In addition to that it was also most of our first times making onigiri, making this a great bonding and learning experience as well. During the ride to DCFC to deliver the onigiri, we made some ballon animals because the special needs kids loved them when we met last time.
