On Sunday, October 22, Murrieta AYLUS members conducted a beach cleanup.
Circling around the upper park, the volunteers found stray plastics, papers, receipts, and even a hotel key card. Leaving some stray valuables on tables, the volunteers rounded down to the lower parks. Weaving around families and enjoyers of the afternoon, the volunteers found stray trash, food waste, and some bottles that were collected separately. Going down to the beach, they found small slivers of white plastic in strands that they dug out of stray seaweed. Then rounding over to the parking lot, they collected some final pieces of food waste and bottles, before trashing the bags.
