On September 23, 2023, dedicated volunteers from AYLUS Pearland took charge of a remarkable fundraising food stand at the highly anticipated annual Taiwan Yes Night Market, generously sponsored by the Light and Salt Association.
In the days leading up to the event, our volunteers worked diligently to prepare an enticing array of traditional Taiwanese street food, including dishes like braised meats and veggies, onigiri, and refreshing chia seeds lemonade. These offerings were designed to captivate the taste buds of eventgoers and leave them with a memorable culinary experience.
On the day of the event, our volunteers arrived early, brimming with enthusiasm, to set up the food stand. Throughout the entirety of the bustling night market, they tirelessly served a multitude of eager patrons. Our dedicated team expertly crafted onigiri, spun cotton candy, prepared refreshing beverages, and even showcased their artistic talents by crafting intricate balloon sculptures on-site. Additionally, our parent volunteers played a crucial role by skillfully crafting the mouthwatering braised meats and veggies.
To further raise awareness about AYLUS and our noble cause, our volunteers thoughtfully set up eye-catching posters that showcased our organization’s mission and values. These efforts not only raised vital funds but also promoted our organization within the community.
The event was nothing short of a resounding success, with a remarkable turnout of at least 15,000 delighted guests who savored our delectable offerings and witnessed the unwavering dedication of our volunteers. Their hard work and commitment truly shone through, making the Taiwan Yes Night Market a memorable and impactful experience for all involved.
