As the Lunar New Year approached in 2024, the AYLUS Pearland Branch media group members got together on the 16th of the September 2023 at Pearland westside library meeting room 2, with laptops and a shared enthusiasm for creating visually stunning and informative promotional materials using Canva, a popular online graphic design tool. They merged their ideas seamlessly into the design. Traditional symbols like lanterns, dragons, and the zodiac animals were incorporated into the flyer’s background, providing a sense of cultural authenticity. The text was elegantly arranged, they made sure that the event details were clear and concise, emphasizing the date, time, location, and a brief overview of what attendees could expect. After 2 hours of collaborative work, the flyer was taking shape, and it looked stunning. It was a harmonious blend of art, technology, and culture, just like the event it was meant to promote. They knew that this flyer, with its engaging design and educational features, would be a powerful tool to spread the word about the Lunar New Year Celebrations.
