On August 27th, between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, members of the AYLUS Great Neck branch showed remarkable dedication by actively engaging in a fundraising effort at Firefighters Park. The goal of this initiative was to support children with autism in Long Island, a cause that takes place biweekly on Sundays. During this event, a variety of items were sold, including LEGOS, bracelets, paintings, hair clips, rings made from pipe cleaners, and a new addition—balloons.
On that day, Amy and Zoe took the initiative to approach families at the park, offering them the opportunity to purchase DIY bracelets, engage in LEGO play at our stand, and explore other items on offer. This time, our results far exceeded our initial expectations, resulting in a remarkable total of $108 in funds raised.
