In the past March, the AYLUS-Oyster Bay team participated in the event of building a bird protection fence at Stehli Beach, Bayville on Long Island. Protecting the habitat and breeding grounds of wildlife is crucial, especially for birds that rely on specific locations for reproduction. Every spring, when various seabirds migrate to Stehli Beach, the fence plays a protective role, preventing human interference and allowing birds to reproduce in a relatively peaceful environment. Such measures are essential for maintaining ecological balance, preserving species diversity, and stabilizing ecosystems.
At the end of each summer and the beginning of autumn, migratory birds fly 2,500 miles south to various places in South America, such as the Caribbean, Venezuela, and Colombia. Today, the team participated in the activity of dismantling the completed mission of the fence and cleaning the beach garbage. This is truly an inspiring move! It reflects a concern for the marine environment and a responsible attitude. Protecting the ocean from pollution and garbage accumulation helps maintain the ecological balance of the entire planet.
Continuing to support these environmental activities has made a positive contribution to the community and the Earth. Looking forward to building bird protection fences at Stehli Beach again next spring, which remains a haven for birds and ecology!
