On August 19th, members from Aylus San Diego branch gathered in a predetermined post office to send the 578 books to Kenya, co-op with Libraries With Love. Libraries With Love’s mission is to promote awareness of the importance of equal and high-quality education. You can find more about Libraries With Love on https://librarieswithlove.org/. The books to Kenya will be used for libraries, providing African children with books to read. These books were packed in several boxes and taped shut to guarentee that no water or trash would seep into the boxes.
Finally, the book were shipped to a processing facility in New Orleans, Louisiana, and will in turn be shipped to Kenya.
Each of the following people will each get 3 volunteer hours:
