During the summer months of June and July 2023, Aylus East Cobb members volunteered to pack lunches each week to be delivered to Arium on Bentley, Stratford Ridge, and Elea aparment complexes.
The thank you letter from the organizer reads:
“Dear Samuel, Matthew, and Theodore,
With immense joy and gratitude in my heart, I want to extend our heartfelt thanks for your remarkable service and dedication during this year’s Summer Lunches program. We are truly blessed to have had you as part of our team, and we cannot begin to express how much your efforts have impacted our Summer Lunch program.
We appreciated every single volunteer that showed up with a smile on their face and ready to serve (especially on those early Monday mornings). Every effort; from the beautifully decorated lunch bags adorned with personal messages and fun drawings, to the messy PB&J sandwiches, to our wonderful Summer Lunch Drivers who helped personally deliver the food to our community- made a difference and was absolutely invaluable.
Together, we managed to distribute an incredible 4,319 lunches throughout the summer!!”
