On Tuesday July 11th, members of the AYLUS Pearland volunteered at the SMILE program at the Light and Salt association. In the morning, Jiaqi Ren taught art class. Students learned how to draw and use watercolor to paint a flower bouquet; Crafts class was taught by Erica Gao. Students were taught how to make an origami rose. During this time, other volunteers assisted students with art and crafts, as well as various other needs.
Throughout the day, all volunteers engaged with students, helping them learn new things and explore areas such as music and games. Through their actions, the volunteers not only enhanced the students’ artistic abilities but also fostered a sense of empowerment and joy, creating a memorable experience for everyone.
