On June 18, volunteers gathered at the Frisco Commons Park to fundraise for the Libraries with Love organization. Handmade gemstone bracelets, homemade soaps, cotton candy, snow cones, and lemonade were available to be purchased. On the hot and sunny day, many gravitated towards the refreshing treats the stand offered. The park-goers appreciated icy lemonade and sugary cotton candy, which was made right in front of their eyes!
As the books for Libraries with Love have been sorted, they now are required to be packaged and shipped to African countries such as Ghana and South Africa. The processing fees and shipment costs need to be paid for. Many were heart warmed at the volunteers’ efforts and donated extra to fund the organization. We thank all those who purchased our goods.
