AYLUS Dix Hills works with LISOC to set up and support the ceremony of 500+ students and the graduation of 30+ students. Volunteers worked to set up 500+ chairs, blow up 50+ balloons, give speeches during the ceremony, hand out 200+ bags for teachers’ students, distribute pizzas, to retold the chairs, and, finally, to clean up the area. During the ceremony, to honor the valuable contribution AYLUS members have given throughout the year to support the teachers of LISOC, a school also founded by volunteers, LISOC donated $300 towards AYLUS Dix Hills in hopes a greater number of people in the community are able to be helped in addition to the school.
AYLUS Dix Hills is appreciative of this recognition and gratuitously accepted. This ceremony is integral to the school year because of the closure, official recognition of exceptional students, the performances, and the graduation of many.
AYLUS Dix Hills hopes to further support education as one of its long term initiatives.
