On May 7th, 2023, AYLUS Pearland collaborated with Dawson High School Choir team and Jeremiah’s Italian Ice Pearland to organize a successful fundraising event. The purpose of the event was to raise funds to support the family of a Dawson High School choir member whose house was destroyed in a fire. Despite the rain, AYLUS Pearland volunteers set up a booth and provided various services, including twisted balloon, tattoo, and face painting services, which were available for purchase by attendees. Additionally, people could also make direct donations to the cause.
The event was successful, and a total of $600 was raised to support the family in need. The funds will be used to purchase gift cards, which will be sent to the choir to distribute to the family. This will help the family to purchase essential items and cover their immediate needs during this difficult time.
