On May 7th, seven members of our branch decided to continue our mission to package total 500 4th-8th grade books. We learned lessons from last time’s experience . We picked large books and put them at the bottom, put medium size books in the middle, and put small size books on the top. Finally, some smaller books could be used to fill the gaps inside the box. The maximum weight is 30 pounds, we used a scale to weigh each box and wrote the weight on top of each box. Our director of treasury tracked the number of books, the weight of the box, and grade level for all boxes on her computer and sent the excel spreadsheet to Libraries with Love project for reference. Eventually, total 16 boxes of books full of LOVE were sealed and ready to ship to the port. What a successful teamwork!
