On April 6th, AYLUS Pearland provided support to Glenda Dawson High School’s Asian Culture Club during their 2023 annual Lunar Fest. The event aimed to promote and celebrate Asian culture and was open to the Dawson High School community.
One of the highlights of the event was the food drive, which featured a variety of delicious Asian foods, such as fried rice, egg rolls, rice cake, sesame balls, Sichuan noodles, red bean puff, tea eggs, and more. AYLUS Pearland volunteers prepared 16 trays of Asian food and arrived at 6pm to set up. Dressed in traditional clothing from different Asian countries, they added to the authenticity of the event.
In addition to the food, attendees were treated to performances by the Asian Culture Club members. They performed popular K-pop dances and sang traditional Asian songs, showcasing the diverse talents of the club members.
The event was a huge success, with a large number of attendees enjoying the food and performances. The food drive collected a significant amount of donations, which will support the club’s future activities. The event also provided an opportunity to promote cultural diversity and inclusivity.
