Volunteers from AYLUS worked with Journey’s End Refugee Service, an organization whose mission is to help refugees adjust to the United States and assist them in becoming independent and involved members of their community, on April 5th, 2023 at their April Break day camp.
After teaching a series of selected vocabulary words regarding health, volunteers assisted the children with puzzles and other fun activities. Additionally, volunteers supervised the allotted recess period and played games similar to Double Dutch and Duck-Duck-Goose with the children.
