On April 1st, AYLUS Manhasset hosted an event to help with composting and wood burning. Our cleanup efforts included shoveling leaves and inspection of the composting bins. After that, at around 4:00, we took a group picture with all members, and helped to clean up the backyard. We started the fire half an hour later, and fed sticks into it slowly to make sure it didn’t get out of hand. At around six members started to leave, but some of us stayed until the end to make sure the fire was fully extinguished, AYLUS Manhasset would like to thank the parents who got together to make sure that all the volunteers had a good day and a great experience with their friends.
Members who were involved include Jocelyn Liu (3 hours), Loretta Liu (3.5 hours), Matthew Yang (4.5 hours), Joanna Yang (3 hours), and Leijun Chou (4 hours).
