AYLUS Welcomes the 131st Branch-Oyster Bay, NY on March 18th, 2023

On March 18th, 2023, two students in Oyster Bay, NY founded the 131st branch of the Alliance of Youth Leaders in the United States (AYLUS): Oyster Bay, NY.

Description of the Oyster Bay Branch

The Oyster Bay Branch is a student-led organization that promotes environmental awareness, community services, and civic engagement. The branch’s ultimate goal is to contribute to the betterment of society by engaging in community service and make a positive impact on the world through volunteer work and encouraging sustainable practices among its members and the wider community.

The branch activities may include organizing environmental campaigns and events such as clean-up
drives, tree planting, recycling initiatives, holding educational workshops and seminars to raise awareness about social issues, visiting nursing homes or hospitals, and organizing fundraising events, soliciting donations from individuals or businesses, selling merchandise, or applying for grants.

Overall, the Oyster Bay provides a platform for students to learn about environmental and social issues, develop leadership and teamwork skills, and take action to create positive change in their communities. The branch also serves as a hub for students with shared interests to come together and collaborate on projects and build meaningful relationships with others who share similar passions.
