Joanna worked on one of the final sections of her AP World History Close Read, going over the effects of technology on globalization as communication allowed for the spread of culture. Medicine lowered the casualty rates from disease in many countries, though those related to poverty or old age remained deadly. In addition, negative effects were caused by pollution, global warming, and deforestation, among other things.
