The Rancho Cucamonga City’s Teen Advisory Group is a volunteer program for 7th-12th grade students that meets on the first Wednesday of every month at the Biane Library. During these meetings, volunteers come together either in person or online to discuss various topics and exchange ideas.
On March 1st,2023, the AYLUS volunteer program participated in an online meeting with over 20 diverse people from different grades and schools. Despite the virtual format, the volunteers were able to find common ground, discuss their hobbies, books, and opinions on events. Victory Garden, an activity center at the library, provided a space for the volunteers to share their opinions and make suggestions for upcoming library activities.
This experience allowed the volunteers to not only make new friends but also enrich themselves by developing their communication and leadership skills. The Teen Advisory Group and the AYLUS volunteer program offer an excellent opportunity for young people to get involved in their community, collaborate with others, and make a positive impact.
Seven members of AYLUS RC Branch participated in this event, each volunteering for a period of 2 hours. Their names are: Yuxuan Liu; Zixuan Wang;Yangxuezhe Sun; Yixin Qian; Eric Wang; Tommy Tang; Danyao Zhao
