On February 26th, AYLUS volunteers organized a seed exchange event to kick off the annual plant sale fundraiser. The event was designed to encourage people to donate seeds and receive different varieties of seeds in return. The AYLUS volunteers were very dedicated and arrived early in the morning at the Sunrise Lake Community Club to set up everything for the event. They worked tirelessly throughout the day, managing the morning shift from 10-12 and the afternoon shift from 3-5 PM. During the event, the volunteers handed out various types of seeds to anyone who came by. This exchange allowed people to try out new types of plants and vegetables, which could benefit their gardens and homes. Overall, the AYLUS volunteers’ hard work and dedication allowed people to gather around a shared interest in gardening and agriculture.
