AYLUS Pearland volunteered at the Old Pearland Farmers’ Market on Saturday, February 18, 2023, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and set up a fundraising booth for SMILE’s laptop donation drive.
Volunteers arrived early to help set up the front desk and the AYLUS fundraising booth. Items for sale were plush pillows, backpacks and pillowcases donated by a warehouse. AYLUS Pearland volunteers also made twisted balloons such as sword, flower, and dog for sale. Over $100 was raised at the event and all proceeds will be used to purchase laptops and software to provide job training for students with special needs. The laptop drive for SMILE (Special Needs Day program) has successfully concluded with $5000 fund raised and 6 used laptops collected.

Kara Li (4 hours): donated and reformatted two laptops for SMILE’s laptop drive.
