On February 25, 2023, AYLUS hosted its second annual high school forums at the West Pearland Library. Like the previous year, the event featured a wide variety of high school students to answer questions based around course selection and extracurricular activities. Speakers were Irene Shi, Kathy Xie, Alex and William Sun, Ellie Kim, Nova Mu, and Derek Zhu in the first portion and Howard Shi, Fred Guo, and Catherine Bai in the second portion.
Speakers were asked some pre-written questions and some from the audience. The event was organized into two separate sections, the first centered around underclassmen activities and classes and the latter focused on preparation for higher AP courses and SAT/NMSQT. There was a collective total of about 70 attendants, including students and parents, with overlap between the two independent sections.
The event was hosted and organized by Derek Zhu, who presented questions to the panel of speakers. A rough transcription of both sessions will be posted to WeChat.
