AYLUS Pearland and Pearland Chinese Association launched the donation drive for the Turkish earthquake victims on February 10th, 2023. Volunteers began collecting new clothes, diapers, tents, sleeping bags, blankets, dry food at several drop off locations run by AYLUS members. The organizer also received a lot of new blankets, winter boots and sweaters from a local warehouse.
On February 12, 2023, from 8:30 am to 11:30 am, Aylus Pearland and PCA volunteers sorted, packed, and labeled 2 pallets of donations, which were to be delivered to the Turkish Consulate in Houston in support of the victims of the devastating earthquake. On February 15th, 2023, several AYLUS parents continue to sort and pack additional donation. In the afternoon of February 15th, a total 3 pellets with 50 boxes of donation, were delivered to the Turkish Consulate Warehouse near the airport.
