Ed White Elementary School invited AYLUS Pearland to participate in their Lunar New Year event on February 3, 2023. Since that day was a Friday, only parent advisors were able to join the celebration, and AYLUS Pearland volunteers prepared Lunar New Year gifts such as stickers and traditional Lunar New Year window decorations for each and every student (over 600).
In the morning of February 3rd, three AYLUS Pearland parent advisors, Mr. Niu, Ms. Fang, and Ms. Li, arrived at the school early to discuss with Principal Dr. Zhang some of the future activities planned, such as the Community Health Fair in the spring semester and Family Day during summer camp. The leadership teams of both AYLUS Pearland and Ed White ES are looking forward to continuing their successful collaboration to serve students and families.
The Lunar New Year program began with traditional musical performances, songs and dances. Students were also excited to see a lion dance performance throughout the school. After the exciting program, special guests, including AYLUS Pearland and CARE, passed out red envelopes and gifts to the entire school.
