From September 2022 to January 2023, four AYLUS Pearland members Aila Jiang, Wendy Yin, William Sun, and Alexander Sun, have attended weekly virtual zoom training sessions to learn how to advocate mental well-being and healthy lifestyle among Asian American community. This is an internship program funded by Hogg Foundation and is actively promoted by AYLUS Pearland.
After 3 months’ hard-working the interns presented their final projects in early January to AYLUS Pearland members, and they designed three surveys to evaluate the effectiveness of the advocacy projects and to collect feedback for improving the program.
Many AYLUS Pearland members participated in the surveys and there is also an increased interest in joining the future internship sessions which are offered two to three times per year.
