On January 22nd, 2022, the Columbus branch was scheduled to perform music for seniors at the Senior Star retirement living facility. However, due to heavy snow, the event had to be cancelled, since the snow-covered roads had not been cleared in the area where many volunteers live. January 22nd is the Lunar New Year Day this year, the year of the Rabbit. Therefore, the members decided to share some cultural items to the seniors on this cold winter day. Two members who live closest to the senior facility selected a few bookmarks and bracelets from their handmade crafts and placed them in festival containers and dropped them off to the front desk of the retirement house later that evening when the roads were in better condition. The Lunar new crafts were well received! The volunteers were happy to share the joy of Lunar New Years with the seniors.
