Greater Princeton AYLUS Volunteers at King’s Blossom-Tribute to Diana on January 15th, 2023

In January, the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) supported King’s Academy of Dance Arts (KADA), a nonprofit organization in New Jersey, for its special performance, King’s Blossom-Tribute to Diana.

KADA was founded by the famous dance artist Diana King in 2002, who unfortunately passed away in 2021. Current executive art director Jia Chen graduated from Beijing Dance Institute.

KADA’s mission is to serve the needs of children and adults who love dance. We inspire, educate and develop dance talents. The program covers ballet basics, dance techniques, Chinese classical dance, folk dance, and modern dance. Every year, students have plenty of performing opportunities and the teachers guide students to participate in various types of national and regional dance competitions.

Over the past 20 years many students have won top awards in national/regional dance competitions and all students participated in charity and cultural showcase events regularly. Benefiting from the multicultural environment, KADA nurtures dance innovation through absorbing essence and nutrition of other cultures, bringing joy to diverse audiences. Their graceful dances win high praise wherever we perform.

Going forward KADA will continue the dedication towards developing dance talents. Envisioning a world where Chinese culture is appreciated and celebrated, KADA will keep up the efforts of inspiring and promoting Chinese dance art abroad.

AYLUS members & volunteers promoted the special performance and served onsite (1/15, 4 hrs for all): Katherine Shi, Jennifer Dong, Haley Deng, Emily Chao, Annabelle Huang, Alice Jiang, Cassie Wang, Xing Liao, Tian Liao, Laetitia Huang, Xinyi Fan, Steven Li, and more.
