GPA encourages its members to volunteer at First Aid Squad & Medical Service facilities across the State of New Jersey to help save lives.
EMTs provide out-of-hospital emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical services (EMS) system. EMTs have the basic knowledge and skills necessary to stabilize and safely transport patients ranging from non-emergency and routine medical transports to life-threatening emergencies.
EMTs function as part of a comprehensive EMS response system, under medical oversight. They perform interventions with the basic equipment typically found on an ambulance as a critical link between the scene of an emergency and the health care system.
AYLUS members also volunteer at dental offices, such as one of Emmanuel Cha DDS PC (290 S. Livingston Ave #6, Livingston, NJ 07039), where they help assist in operations, disinfect, and set up rooms, make appointments, communicate with patients and file insurance.
In December, volunteers of the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA), including Andrew Yao (12/1, 5.5 hrs), Katie Li (12/1, 5.5 hrs), Xinyi Cindy Fan (12/3, 6 hrs), and more, continued their volunteer services. GPA Save a Life Committee is to continue serving our communities with life-saving focused projects.
