Chapel Hill Branch Participates Jordan Lake Clean Up on Oct 30, 2022

On October 30th, members of the AYLUS Chapel Hill Branch joined the RTP and Morrisville branches in a trash pickup at the New Hope River Waterfowl Impoundment in Durham. Despite the small size of the area, volunteers found and cleared litter ranging from fire hydrants to car tires. The impoundment borders a creek, and trash could be washed into the water, polluting the entire stream and its surrounding areas. Thus, we are glad to be able to contribute in keeping the environment clean for wildlife and for the community.

Volunteers who participated in this event: Luna Chen (2 hrs), Kathryne Hong (2 hrs), Nicholas Wang (2 hrs), Sven Li (2 hrs), Eric Sun (2 hrs), Matthew Guo (2 hrs), Andrew Xu (2.5 hrs).
