AYLUS Pearland Teaches at Light and Salt Association’s SMILE Classes June 14 th ,15 th and 17th

On Tuesday, June 14th, members of the AYLUS Pearland volunteered at the SMILE program at the Light and Salt association. Origami lessons were taught by teachers and students would receive help from the volunteers. Some of the projects that were taught include a box, a lotus flower, and a crane.

On Wednesday, June 15th, members of the AYLUS Pearland volunteered at the SMILE program at the Light and Salt association. In the morning, the students participated in lessons over two separate art styles. The two art styles that were taught include paper scrap art of a tree in a landscape, and an oil pastel art of a town surrounded by lush mountains.

On Friday June 17th, members of the AYLUS Pearland volunteered for the SMILE program at the Light and Salt Association. Students were taught how to play the ukulele. Three different chords were taught and the teacher would walk around the room checking each student’s hand positioning. Each student was paired with a volunteer to help the learning process.
