On August 6th, members of the Williamsville branch of AYLUS volunteered at the Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village for their ‘Preservation Day.’
Preservation Buffalo Niagara Director of Preservation Services Christiana Limniatis explains that, ‘Preservation Day!’ is a fabulous opportunity to learn more about the history and development of our region, and to explore how Western New Yorkers can champion historic preservation as a means of creating a more culturally rich, affordable, and sustainable community.”
Volunteers assisted by running a store. They explained the different products in the store to the visitors and managed the check out process. Other volunteers were stationed at the front to hand out flyers.
Participants included:
Amber Ren, Sophie Wang, David Cong, Ethan Lin, Stella Zeng, and Brian Xu. (4 hours)
