In July, the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) volunteers started to help with a local Backpack and School Supplies Drive, initiated by both Princeton and Hightstown School Districts in New Jersey.
GPA members made a backpack and school supplies donation at either Princeton Township Human Service Office (1 Monument Ave. Princeton, NJ 08540) and/or Rise Thrift Store (133 Broad Street, Hightstown, NJ 08520).
Besides, GPA members donated non-perishable foods, helped hand out and carry out food boxes, helped set up, guide clients through and clean up the food distribution. Shopping and helping others go hand in hand at Rise! Stop in for a few hours or spend the day-lots of volunteer opportunities to fit their skills and schedule. Lots of tasks to help keep the shop going.
