On May 13th and May 20th, Pearland Parks and Recreation hosted the Concert in the Park Series. At 5:30 PM, six AYLUS members arrived at Southdown Park to help volunteer at the concert. Half of the AYLUS members were assigned to help coordinate overflowing parking. They helped guide people’s vehicles to their designated parking locations. The other half of the members were assigned to other various duties. These duties consisted of greeting community members at the volunteer booth, offering community members to take a quick survey about the event, and handing out raffle tickets at the volunteer booth. All of the AYLUS members worked diligently on their assigned tasks. Everyone persistently worked on their respective task. They worked for three hours, finishing at 8:30 PM. AYLUS volunteers had a delightful time interacting with the attendees and staff.
