On April 30th, 5 members of the AYLUS Chapel Hill Branch helped collect trash along the Dry Creek Trail. Littering could prevent plant growth, so it is crucial to pick up after yourself and others. After 1.5 hours, we collected around 3 bags worth of trash, from abandoned masks to full glass jars, strewn across the trail. We hope that our work will help make sure the plants that surround the trail, and make the trail what it is: a walk in nature, have the ability to thrive without the traces of human littering.
The volunteers that participated in this event were: Jack Xu (1.5 hours), Nicholas Wang (1.5 hours), Luna Chen (1.5 hours), & Grace Gao (1.5 hours).
