Earlier this year on 3/15/22, AYLUS Manhasset members meticulously organized seeds in preparation for the next season’s crops. We sorted seeds into categorically numbered and labeled bags. There were many varieties of plant, including beans, squashes, and other ornamental varieties. Every week AYLUS members checked up on the seed germination progress, but as expected some of the seeds failed to germinate. Therefore, this year for our environmental garden program AYLUS Manhasset has two batches of seedlings. On 4/27/22 AYLUS Manhasset compiled a stockpile of all the seeds that were successful and discussed our future plans for the plot at Clarke Botanical garden, a site AYLUS Manhasset also worked on earlier in 2021.
Each week we tallied 1.5 hours: Every Sunday from 11:00 to 12:30 for a total of 7 weeks resulting in 10.5 hours.
