On March 27th, from 6:00AM to 11:00AM, AYLUS Pearland branch volunteered in the Annual Pearland Half Marathon & 10K, hosted by Race Roster and Pearland Parks & Recreation. Approximately one thousand runners registered to come to Independence Park to race. AYLUS members arrived sharp at 6:00AM in the morning, started the race preparation in the early morning, move bottle water to water station at final line, unpack the medals. Later they helped hand out medals and water at the finish line as well as around the racetrack itself. Additionally, volunteers helped out at the front booths to pass out shirts and register in runners, as well as carrying supplies like crates of water to runners. Overall, the event was a success, AYLUS volunteers worked 5 hours until all runners finished running.
