On April 2, 2022, AYLUS Pearland volunteered at Keep Pearland Beautiful and Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-off (TXDOT) litter cleanup from 7:30 am to 9:00 am. At the start of the event, Keep Pearland Beautiful and TXDOT provided activities and prizes that promoted the clean environment message to families and volunteers. Then, volunteers split into small groups of 4-5 people to clean assigned areas of Centennial Park. Overall, AYLUS volunteers were able to collect several bags full of trash as they thoroughly cleaned the park.
Volunteers that attended were Fiona Ren, Haoqi Zhang, Amy Miao, Aoyu Jin, Sophia Fu, Chenyu Jin, Yurui He, Kate Liu, Karen Xu, Sasha Kuzmenko, Eric Qi, Patrick Leonardi, Iris Chen, and Howard Shi.
