During the first week in November, AYLUS San Diego Branch volunteers continued their sciences Challenge Camp Program. The program allows volunteers to provide guidance on the sciences to interested students.
They taught over Zoom or Facetime, helping students learn scientific topics. Volunteers placed an emphasis on helping their students understand the subjects of their teachings. Their sciences challenge camp activities included:
Hausen Wu taught his students William Cheng, and Tristan Shi Java Coding on Saturday, 11/6, for one and a half hours.
Meijia He taught her student Philip Zhang Java on Saturday, 11/6, for one and a half hours.
Serena Liu taught her student Kate Liang 8th grade math on Saturday, 11/6, for one and a half hours.
In total, there were 7 participants in this event, with 3 volunteers.
