AYLUS Pearland on campus tutoring located at Ed white Elementary school in Houston ISD. On November 6, 2021, six volunteers participated in teaching students from grade 3-5 (subjects being reading/mathematics). Event volunteers taught a few groups of children who alternated classes, switching from math to reading, spending 1-2 hours with each group of children. Some Tutoring activities consists of textbook assignments, lectures, etc. After 3 hours of tutoring, tutors assist students in packing bags and cleaning tables. After receiving lunch provided by AYLUS Pearland branch, the event volunteers leave the campus and go home.
Volunteers worked 3 hours and spent 1 hour commute each time to the tutoring event.
