On 9/11/21, members of AYLUS Syosset constructed and filled a composter for a family in their community.
The composter itself is made out of recycled plastics and had to be assembled by the members of the AYLUS Branch. After, food scraps such as banana peels, egg shells, and some decaying tree matter were added to the container in consecutive layers.
Through our environmental program, we wish to make a difference in our community by combatting the widespread problem of food waste among many American households. Our actions, no matter how small, will eventually accumulate and make our home a cleaner place.
