The 20th anniversary of 9/11 is coming. The terrorist attacks killed 2,977 people and injured thousands at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. Americans host commemorative events at all three sites on the anniversary of the attacks.
Firefighters and their families sacrifice a lot to save lives, who deserve our honor and respect, especially at this memorial moment. In September, the Greater Princeton branch of AYLUS (GPA) continued an event called “Meals from the Heart”. GPA members honor our firefighter heroes in our community in our unique way.
On September 7th, GPA members Helen Tung (4 hrs) organized a “Meals from the Heart” event for local firefighters. More GPA members (1 hr for all), including Sarah Yan, Erick Yan, Michael Tung, Larry Hu, Angela Du, Sophia Feng, Michael Feng, Chloe Yang, William Xian, Sarah Xian, Seth Liang, and Isobel Liang joined the organizer for the event, hand delivering the meals to the East Windsor Volunteer Firefighters (51 One Mile Road, East Windsor, NJ 08520).
