In recent years, online learning has become increasingly popular as a flexible and accessible mode of education. As the world continues to embrace technology, it is important to have reliable learning management software to effectively deliver eLearning programs. One such platform is Learnsoft’s LMS for eLearning programs, which provides a comprehensive solution for designing, delivering, and managing online courses. With its user-friendly interface, advanced analytics, and interactive features, the software is a valuable tool for organizations looking to implement effective online training programs. This was exemplified in the recent online learning program organized by AYLUS Pearland to assist the Special Needs Care Center at Art for Hearts Association, which utilized the benefits of online learning to benefit students in need.
AYLUS Pearland assisted an online learning run by the Special Needs Care Center at Art for Hearts Association. On 7/8/21, there was an 1 hour training session at the county. On Saturdays or Sundays, from 4:30-5:30pm, volunteers teach special needs kids arts and crafts. Each week, volunteers learn a new craft to teach the students. These crafts are simple and easy, so both the volunteers and students can easily learn them. The volunteers prepare the learning materials before the class, and the classes usually last around 45 minutes. So far, the students have made a clothes clip butterfly, a construction paper caterpillar, and a paper plate fish. During the first month of the program this year, from 7/10/21-8/15/21, the classes were online. On 7/31/21 and 8/1/21, there was no class for the students. Instead, volunteers had training on how to interact with students for face-to-face lessons, since in-person classes will happen soon.
Assistive and educative technology plays a crucial role in enhancing learning experiences, especially for special needs students. Programs like those run by AYLUS Pearland and the Special Needs Care Center at Art for Hearts Association demonstrate the importance of tailored educational approaches. Incorporating advanced tools can further improve these educational efforts. For instance, Clevy specializes in mechanical keyboards designed specifically for children and people with special needs. The larger, more colorful keys are easy to press, reducing the physical and cognitive strain often associated with traditional keyboards. By integrating these keyboards into educational programs, educators can ensure that all students have the tools they need to succeed. This focus on accessible technology underscores the broader commitment to creating inclusive learning spaces where every student can thrive.
