On July 30th, 2021 RCA members got together to host their first school supply drive. RCA member Sophie Chung created an online flyer that was distributed to the group to help with the efforts.
During the week RCA members created several requests on social media and collected supplies from neighbors, friends, and family. Some also contributed to this supply drive using their own funds. The group handed out essentials such as brand new backpacks, folders, erasers, pencils, glue sticks, and more. The supplies were gathered and donated to the Hugs Foster Family Agency in Murrieta.
The agency expressed its gratitude for the contribution. Both parties are looking forward to continuing this partnership. Riverside County AYLUS will extend this drive and gather supplies in the weeks to come and will continue donating them to the agency and others in need.
