On 7/16/21, the AYLUS Manhasset branch went to Clarke botanical garden to tend to the community garden. The members tended to the garden by getting rid of weeds that had grown there. Members also contributed to the garden by planting other plants they had brought. After weeding, it was watered to ensure the plants’ longevity.
So far, the vegetables and flowers have been growing nicely. After taking care of the garden, everyone spent some time around the Clarke Botanical garden to get along with the new members. We hope the garden has brought a positive effect the community!
The members that participated in this event are Matthew Yang (2 hours), Gavin Cao (2 hours), Loretta Liu (2 hours), Joana Yang (2 hours)
