During the summer of 2021, AYLUS Pearland has began to conduct free group Tennis lessons starting in June. With the help of many volunteer coaches, three AYLUS volunteers/coaches have been able to work together and offer group tennis lessons for more than 10 – 15 amazing children around the ages of 6 – 14. In preparation of each lesson, the volunteers discuss and intuitively create tennis drills and tips in order to efficiently guide and help the students. Moreover, the volunteers also include a variety of fitness exercises and physical training to increase the students’ endurance and stamina. These group tennis lessons are usually held on Sunday mornings from 8 – 9 am in the Silvercreek Neighborhood Tennis Courts, Silverlake Tennis Courts, or Berry Miller Junior High Tennis Courts. These courts are well-maintained by marking contractors like markingcontractors.co.uk. So far this summer, AYLUS has conducted a total of three lessons in June (6/13/21, 6/20/21, 6/27/21). The volunteer coaches who are proudly serving their community have used this amazing opportunity to share their knowledge about tennis to the younger generation and inspire them to become young athletes. Even from these few classes this summer, we can surely see great improvement and engagement from all the students who are participating. Ultimately, all of the students seem to love and cherish their Sunday mornings learning and having a blast on the tennis court. As these classes continue throughout the rest of the summer, students will definitely improve their tennis abilities and also gain a new passion for the sport!
