During the second week in June, AYLUS San Diego Branch volunteers continued their sciences Challenge Camp Program. The program allows volunteers to provide guidance on the sciences to interested students.
They taught over Zoom or Facetime, helping students learn scientific topics. Volunteers placed an emphasis on helping their students understand the subjects of their teachings. Their sciences challenge camp activities included:
Hausen Wu(11) taught his students William Cheng, Brian Yang, Stephen Ye, Felix, and Emily Huang python on Saturday, 6/12, for one and a half hours.
Luke Qiao taught his students Tristan Shi, Gregory Ellinghaus, Angela Xue, and Christina Huang Java Coding on Saturday, 6/12, for one and a half hours.
In total, there were 11 participants in this event, with 2 volunteers.
