AYLUS PHOENIX member Katherine Shi, a student of Arizona Art Academy, has learned Chinese folk dance for more than six years. She is passionate about Chinese dance and continues her dance journey in this pandemic time. She performed a solo dance called “Crane’s Song” at the second Pan-America Virtual Dance Showcase. This showcase lasts more than 2 hours. It builds community by allowing dance schools to work together during the pandemic and provides opportunities for dancers to show their talent and love for dance. Katherine’s passion for dance can be seen in the elegant dance, “Crane’s Song” in which she tells the story of a crane wandering along the lake and looking into the distance to express the expectation of her dream and future.
