On February 18th, 2021, Albany Branch members took an initiative to volunteer with the Smithsonian Transcription Center. Here, they help to “make historical documents and biodiversity data more accessible.” This is a very viable activity as it is completely digital. Their “efforts to transcribe the Smithsonian’s historic collections helps to increase access and understanding of our heritage, our neighbors, and our world.”
