Description of the Laredo Branch
The primary focus of our branch is to better our community, assist students who are struggling with their curriculum, and also to show members how they may assist their communities. Especially because of the quarantine, we believe that there have been many difficulties for those in our area, as many families are short on money, and students are having trouble in their classes (and technological issues because of online learning). Facing these challenges in our community, our group plan to execute food drives for those in need, and host tutoring for students that are struggling in their classes. As of now, we are planning to host weekly meetings to assist struggling students, but we shall expand and diversify our activities in due time to activities such as food drives, seminars on essential topics such as how to write a college resume, and also donate clothes to the homeless.
