Phoenix Branch Made 20 Heart Pillows and donated to Hospital ICU in January 2021

The Recovery Pillow was designed as a post-surgical support pillow for heart surgeries and/or other surgeries. It is heart-shaped and covered in flannel fabric. It is stuffed with fiberfill (stuffing) to allow the pillow to adjust to each patient’s comfort needs, while still maintaining the needed support required.
The project is continuous. We plan on 4-6 pillows per month for ICU at the Chandler Regional Medical Center. In the future, we can make more for other hospitals if we have enough supplies.

Volunteer: Carol Chen (20 pillows, 40 hours) including purchased clothes and other materials, stereo cutting, sewing, Ironing, filling etc. & the donation to Hospital for ICU.
